Hello Everyone,
I hope you all have been enjoying your week as Venus squared the nodal axis and Mars stationed direct last week. It seems to me that things are picking up for everyone as we had a slower start to the New Year with Mars, Mercury, and Uranus all retrograde. This week we will have Mercury station and direct (12/18/2023), along with Uranus (12/22/2023) the day after the New Moon (12/21/2023). I believe that things will pick up an even faster pace since Jupiter is also in the sign of Aries, where he is full of exploration! We have a beautiful week and leading up to this incredible New Moon in Aquarius we have some great astrological conversations playing out as the Sun moves into the sign of Aquarius and the astrology prepares us for the New Moon right around the corner.
On Tuesday, the 17th, the moon in Scorpio will be in a conversation with Pluto. This moon is ruled by Pluto, and Pluto is ruled by Saturn in the sign of Aquarius. To me this symbolizes the nudge to dive deep into our psychological nature. We are all being called to look at how we merge with others and if there have been correct judgments made through discernment of our relational experiences or not. This moon is in a waning crescent phase while sextile Pluto. The phase of this moon while in conversation to Pluto also speaks to the duality of two, or separation. This symbolizes a time where we may understand why we have created or experienced past separations in our relationships and wanting to understand the deeper psychological and emotional nature of those separations as a way to promote further healing. With the Moon sextile Pluto and ruled by Pluto, we are being called to take responsibility and accountability for our own emotional and psychological nature and healing. If we have the willingness to understand, we can gain deeper insight into those situations. Pluto is ruled by Saturn in Aquarius. Through this penetration of our emotions and psychology we are then able to liberate ourselves from the past, we will no longer project past circumstances onto the present moment. This ultimately creates new foundations within to do differently in the future and the present time. This is a great day to look at prior judgment calls within relationships, our prior relational discernment, how the choices we made have affected us, and to understand if we are repeating previous relational dynamics at the present moment. Mercury will station on this day before it is direct the following day. This symbolizes an intensity of the dynamics of Mercury in the sign of Capricorn during this retrograde cycle. When looking at our psychological and emotional makeup, we are able to enact a natural authority by deciding what is right and what is wrong for ourselves. Knowledge is gained by going back and learning how we viewed our natural authority, where we have harshly judged ourselves, and when we have and have not held ourselves accountable. All of this energy throughout the week is meant to be transformative for when the New Moon happens, we will be called to liberate from these dynamics and to start a brand new 6 month cycle of rebelling against our old ways of doing things.
On Wednesday the 18th, the Sun and Pluto will conjoin as Mercury at the same time is direct in motion. All three of these planets are ruled by Saturn in Aquarius. Pluto conjunct the Sun symbolizes a culmination as the Sun moves towards Pluto. Whatever was happening on January 16th, 2022 and around that time period will be brought to the forefront as there is a new cycle wanting to start once the Sun moves past Pluto. This symbolizes to me that we are being directed to commit to what is meaningful and in integrity within us. This illuminates’ areas of stagnation within of a creative nature. There is a focus on commitment and responsibility for going after what is meaningful to us. Through this process of strength of will, we will learn more fully about what it takes to commit. The old ways in which we went about doing this in the past will no longer cut it. We must transmute those into new ways through the knowledge and wisdom we gain along this process. This ultimately helps us build more structures in alignment with our integrity. This is a useful day to look at if you feel like you can’t commit to what it is you are wanting to, why that is, and what self-defeating patterns are getting in the way. Where do you feel repressed in your creative force and why? How can you take all that you have learned in the past and metamorphosize it in a new way? If something has been on your mind about making a choice, as Mercury moves in direct motion, it will free up the space to now act on what that is. This is about a correct judgment call and a DIFFERENT choice than made before. Clarity and insight into your situation will be gained as Mercury moves out of its retrograde shadow on the 6th of February.
On the 19th, the moon in the sign of Sagittarius will square Neptune in the sign of Pisces. This moon is ruled by Jupiter in Aries. The moon in Sagittarius will still be in a waning crescent phase, asking for us to create and have creative actualization of some sort. To me this centers around being true and authentic. Creating experiences rooted in our authenticity as a way to further our spiritual development with Source. This is also a day to be mindful of self-deception and taking necessary action to live authentically. A choice could come up for some on this day, considering that Jupiter is ruled by Mars in Gemini. No matter what you choose, if it is honestly communicated with a pure intention, you can’t go wrong. Growth and expansion can occur when we receive external feedback from our choices. The key is to not allow self-defeating beliefs about ourselves get in the way of creating new actions and choices in the aftereffects. To remember that the value is in the effort made.
On the 20th the Sun will enter the sign of Aquarius. This happens as the Moon in Capricorn will conjunct Mercury, both being ruled by Saturn in Aquarius. Aquarius is the sign that reflects our liberation process from societal conditioning. It reflects the individuated unconscious and subconscious. It also relates to trauma and objective awareness. With the Moon in Capricorn conjunct Mercury in the same sign, some of us might be understanding our having memories triggered from the subconscious that we have repressed. This is a day where we can have the opportunity to observe past trauma in a new light. This also speaks to committing yourself to emotional development through learning about oneself on a deeper emotional level. To detach from the past as a way to observe what all went down and happened, to bring more awareness to the conscious mind. Through this process we obliterate old structures within that stem from a place of trauma. When we understand more deeply about past experiences and the choices we made relating to those experiences, we get to make new choices by not projecting the past onto the present anymore. It frees us of recycling the past dynamics through the conscious choice to liberate from oppressive thoughts and beliefs of a personal nature. How has the past been projected onto circumstances and the truth wasn’t honored? Have you been reacting and making choices based on prior trauma and need to be more present? This is a day to commit to getting to the bottom of these dynamics as a way to fully liberate oneself through the awareness that it creates. This happens the day before the New Moon so that way we can all be consciously thinking about our New Moon intentions.
On January 21st at 2:53 PM/Central we will have a New Moon in the sign of Aquarius. There is an active sky as this new moon is taking place. Let me break this down so that we can all better understand the dynamics coming up to be worked on for a brand new 6-month cycle.
Last week Venus squared the nodal axis as Mars was stationing and in a conversation with the South node and Mercury (still retro at the time).
To me this symbolizes a time where we were to go back and to observe and objectify our own psychology pertaining to how we have been meeting our needs, whether that be through others or through ourselves. Then through this objectification, we are able to continue to challenge our own status quo of self and where we have been compliant in resistance. Meaning, where we have been relying on others instead of ourselves to meet these needs. This gives all of us the awareness as to how to go about making new choices on how to continue to commit to ourselves and our evolution.
I also think that it is interesting that as we have a new moon in Aquarius on the 21st, it will be passing over those same degrees that Venus just did as she squared the nodal axis. During this New Moon, Venus will conjunct Saturn. Mars and Mercury will now be direct and in a “yod/Finger of God” with the South Node, and the New Moon will be in an out of sign conjunction with Pluto (Capricorn), and also, the New Moon will sextile Jupiter (Aries) being ruled by that Mars in Gemini.
This symbolizes to me that as we gain more clarity about our inner psychological and emotional nature, we are able to form new choices that are in alliance with new belief structures that are forming as we clear out the “old way” of doing things (New Moon sextile Jupiter pulling in the yod). This only comes through being able to objectify how we have gone about doing this in the past, and by making necessary action as a way to create a counter reaction to learn further about ourselves. It takes a conscious effort to look at this inner content and to liberate from the projections and distortions of getting our needs met through how we have been conditioned to do this.
There are two steps forward, one step back approach to this as the New Moon (Aquarius) will be conjunct with Pluto (Capricorn) bringing in Cardinal energy to the fixed energy. In order to make new space we must first go back and look at prior choices that stem from how we made judgment calls.
However each soul is working with the archetypes of this New Moon and the current transits, if it is done by the conscious effort of leaning into these dynamics, it can then clear space for new values and needs ( pulling in the North node and mutual reception with Venus/Uranus). Then through this determination we are all being asked to be self-reliant in meeting those needs.
It’s also interesting to note that an asteroid I work with called Sophrosyne will be conjunct Ceres in Libra at this time. This trines the New Moon. Sophrosyne is the asteroid that speaks to how we gain temperance or balance. How the patriarchy has distorted what that entails. With her trine the New Moon with Ceres conjunct to her, to me this seems that we are all being called to recover (Ceres) how we go about inwardly and outwardly relating to ourselves and others (Libra) as a way to gain temperance/ Sophrosyne. This can only be done through the above-mentioned dynamics. Being able to outwardly relate to others without abandoning ourselves in doing so. Through this process we can gain new structures within our consciousness as to how to be in neutrality or balance (Venus conjunct Saturn, ruled by Uranus). But first, it takes the conscious effort to look at oneself honestly (Jupiter sextile new moon, and New Moon square South Node), then to make new choices (Mars ruling Jupiter and in a yod with Mercury and South node). This speaks to the realignment process for those who consciously strive towards these dynamics.
On the 22nd, Uranus will station direct while in mutual reception with Venus who is still conjunct Saturn in the sign of Aquarius. This symbolizes a time when our new values we have all been working on can be put to use and lived out authentically. As we live this out, new structures form within that create ever deeper levels of stability within on a personal level, and how we inwardly relate to ourselves. With Uranus stationing and direct, the energy of Uranus is magnified symbolizing a time to act on these dynamics and a draw or pull to do so. It can be scary when you are making a new choice and a conscious choice not to repeat the past. Doing something is always scary, it creates insecurity within. The beauty is that when we do choose to do different, we choose to liberate. This perpetuates growth and stifles resistance.
On the 23rd, the Sun in Aquarius will be in a conversation with Jupiter. This speaks to “walking our talk” and creating new situations that permit growth and inner development. Mercury will square Jupiter, as well, so there is a need to act on our instincts when it comes to living authentically right now. A choice is up for grabs for however you go about doing that. The key is that we should choose the choice that helps us to create more levels of objective awareness as we are in a metamorphic time right now of creating new structures within meant to last the long haul. This week is about radical change within and how we relate to ourselves on a new level. There is much to work with this week as a way to help propel us forward. Balance/Temperance is created when we live authentically, honestly, and unattached to the outcome that we cannot control.
Below is the chart for the New Moon on the 21st, I hope everyone has a beautiful week and I hope everyone enjoys the liberation that is here for all of us to take hold of!
Much Love and Gratitude,
Jordyn
P.S. This weekend I am holding a class at the Magic Tree in the Plaza in OKC. It is from 12:30-2. I will be going over Pluto, the Moon, the Moons Nodes and rulers. This is a class where when you walk away you can apply the knowledge to your own chart. This is a class that looks at the soul’s evolution and where the past and future intersect within the present. It is donation based. <3
