FULL MOON FORECAST:
Cardinal energy in general represents major shifts or turning points in each soul’s evolution. Cardinal energy is about initiating a new cycle. Yet, cardinal energy also reflects the dynamic of two-steps forward and one step back. This is because when we initiate anything it means we are choosing to create change. That change has the effect of inducing insecurity. It’s new, why wouldn’t it? After all, we are creatures of habit and stability. Each one of us, in order to grow and evolve, at some point has to make a change. What once was stable and secure is no longer promoting growth. It is because the Soul has outgrown the old structure. This reflects the natural law of consciousness expanding.
When we realize this dynamic, it takes a lot of courage to initiate change. That change represents a new state of becoming. A new structure that is wanting to form. A new way of relating in a secure way. The most universal way we experience this is through our relationships. This is all reflected in the Cardinal Cross. Each of us has had the experience of a relational shift or ending. Either we choose to enact change or sometimes it is forced on us through the loss of relationship or the ending of a chapter in our Evolutionary growth. Yet, these experiences when consciously worked with help us to create change. Something new to be experienced. Especially when we can reflect and understand our emotional dynamics and choices that led to whatever the situation had been.
When we are dealing with the archetype of Cancer, specifically, we are dealing with emotional dynamics on the subjective level. These are the emotional dynamics that are represented in the moment to moment and day to day for us individually. Each one of us have emotional dynamics on a subjective level that are needing to be evolved through emotional maturation (the polarity of Cancer, Capricorn). Emotional maturation occurs when we “tap into” Capricorn. This is done through Capricorn’s archetypal dynamics of self-reflection; the ability to reflect on our choices, vulnerabilities, insecurities, and emotional dynamics, in general. Self-reflection helps us to understand the other archetype of Capricorn; how to take responsibility for our emotional well-being. To not depend on external sources. To cultivate inner authority through emotionally nurturing and validating ourselves. Through becoming inwardly secure. This phenomenon happens when we integrate emotional wisdom from prior experiences helping us to make correct judgment and action for future experiences.
Cancer is the archetype of our self-identity, how our personality is structured through the emotional body. In evolutionary astrology it is known that the life experiences that we have must be processed through the emotional body (water trinity: Cancer/Scorpio/Pisces). This is what enables the Soul (Pluto/Scorpio) to truly experience what natural consequences are and how those consequences stem from our desires and choices (Aries/Mars). It is through learning about the emotional dynamics of consequences, positive and negative, that we gain wisdom (Capricorn/Saturn). This wisdom comes only through the direct experience of action (Aries/Mars) and the emotional feedback we receive (Libra/Venus). If we suppress our emotions, they become displaced and projected onto others. Anything that is suppressed becomes distorted because it is reflecting suppression of what is naturally occurring in each one of us. When something is suppressed, it can reflect an inability to take accountability. This is because we aren’t in touch with those emotional dynamics. How can we take accountability if we aren’t in touch with what we are naturally experiencing on an emotional level? Yet, Pisces calls for us to jump into the water of our pure emotions. To experience the totality (Pisces/Neptune) of what it means to be a Soul, pure consciousness, evolving. This is reflected in the water trinity. Cancer (Moon) is the subjective ego that the Soul (Pluto/Scorpio) creates in any given incarnation/life. The water trinity reflects the evolution of the Soul (Pluto/Scorpio). The evolution is reflected in the subjective ego (Cancer/Moon) that our Soul chooses in each lifetime to help us evolve emotional dynamics (look at your natal moon/4th house cusp/ and rulers to understand the emotional dynamics specific to you). Consciously aligning our ego through our Soul/Will (Pluto/Scorpio) with Spirit/Source/Godd’ess (Pisces/Neptune). This means that when we do this work consciously, at some point, we change and evolve our Will through the Will of Source. We learn to go with the current and not swim against it. This is a long journey.
With the full Moon in Cancer balsamic to Jupiter in Cancer retrograde, something is wanting to be released and liberated from. Jupiter on the one hand, is expansion and considered the great benefic. On the other hand, Jupiter magnifies what is already there and asks for us to release one thing in order to receive the Jupiter gift. This is the fourth super full moon in a row. Jupiter reflects this, especially in the sign of Cancer. This is because Jupiter in Cancer through transit reflects that our emotions and our emotional patterns are THE TEACHER right now. What our emotions and emotional patterns are teaching each of us is precisely what is needing to be released and paradoxically, needing to be nurtured. This comes through various forms. The super full moon reflects how the moon appears closer to Earth. Speaking to the magnification of the gravitational pull of the ocean meeting the gravitational pull towards the moon. It is magnifying what it is that needs to be released. It is bringing the swells of emotional dynamics to the surface. What are these emotional swells that want release? It could be reflecting the releasing of emotional dishonesty, beliefs that affect our emotions and the patterns we live out, internalized beliefs, magnified insecurities, dependencies, where we are over-identified on an emotional level with beliefs, values, and needs that aren’t authentic to us, or overcompensory emotional dynamics. Any type of magnified emotion that isn’t being utilized consciously or responsibly. This can be anger, grief, joy. Or any intense emotion where there is a lack of mastery in how we express or channel it. This reflects what is needing to be nurtured from within us. To be acknowledged.
For others this can be the need to release where we have denied or suppressed our emotions. Jupiter can magnify this in such a way that it doesn’t feel plausible. The internal emotional magnification isn’t congruent with the external dynamics. What it is teaching us/you is that there is an emotion that needs to be nurtured and validated from within yourself. The inner child needs to be held. The inner child can teach each of us what is displaced. Jupiter can also be teaching us through our emotions where we are needing to trust ourselves and our intuition and to throw off denying or making excuses for what it is we are feeling. Our emotions can be teaching us about where we need to take responsibility for ourselves and hold ourselves accountable for our own choices. No matter if the consequences are negative or positive. Lastly, this can be teaching us about when we need to reconnect to from within ourselves, especially if there has been an abundance (Jupiter) of social interactions and we feel misaligned from within. Essentially, these emotional dynamics can come up for some when there is a need to recenter oneself, to retreat, and then to learn how to stay centered socially and privately. Thus, creating emotional balance through staying centered in both situations. The crab honoring its natural process of coming out of its shell to explore. Then retreating back into its shell to integrate what it has experienced.
On March 10, 2026, Jupiter will station direct at 15° Cancer. From now until then, we are meant to release the old in order to receive the gift of Jupiter. Think of this Full Moon as an illuminator on what that actually is. It is teaching each of us about the emotional patterns that are now needing to be evolved and expanded upon. Jupiter is teaching each one of us what no longer fits in the old structure and how to expand into new structures that are authentic to our Soul growth and evolution at this time. How we are meant to emotionally expand through emotional maturation. How this nurtures the Soul. How it validates our Soul’s authentic path and journey we are individually on. How it teaches us to harmonize with our own natural emotional rhythms.
With the Moon opposing Venus, Sun, and Mars in Capricorn there is a lot of potential for creative purpose and energy occurring with this full moon. Creative purpose in this context means that whatever is becoming realized consciously is meant to be utilized for growth. Thus, giving the Soul the opportunity to shape its own destiny through purpose and creative expression. That nothing is moot at this point in time. That everything that’s arising emotionally has the potentiality for the Soul to utilize it for its own evolution. The Sun in Capricorn illuminates the moon in Cancer. Where Capricorn maturation and mastery is needed on an emotional level. The Sun is ruled by Saturn in Pisces. This reflects the need for each one of us to be self-determined to discern what emotional dynamics and patterns need our attention. Where can we experience healing? Do we need to acknowledge grief? Love or lacking love? Compassion? Empathy? A sense of personal authority? Whatever it may be, we are each individually called to experience the totality of the emotions that surface in order to reflect (Capricorn) and to integrate wisdom. Saturn is the structure of our consciousness in our own natal chart. Saturn in Pisces is wanting the old structure to dissolve so a new structure can be birthed. This occurs through acknowledging what needs to be tended to. Then through that acknowledgment and awareness we are able to apply self-determination in order to heal and dissolve what is meant to be left in the past. Scorpio is alchemy, yet Capricorn is the alchemist. You get to transform and make your own magic from the past!
Venus in Capricorn is conjunct the Sun and balsamic. This means that the Moon is also opposing Venus. This can illuminate different dynamics of how we inwardly relate and as a consequence the emotional patterns that show up and repeat in our relationships with others. Capricorn as an archetype also reflects guilt and judgment. This means that with Venus balsamic to the Sun it can illuminate our own inner judgmental patterns and how those patterns manifest emotionally for us. Emotional dynamics can be surfacing around our fears of being judged or rejected for expressing ourselves naturally. Memories from the past can surface like a lightning rod when it comes to our childhood and social expectations regarding conforming. Where we could have experienced judgments from our family and our social environments for being ourselves. Where we fear we will be judged for being ourselves. For some this is where we can be confronted with our own judgment calls and the emotional dynamics that are catalytic for growth. How this has impacted how we relate to ourselves, how we judge ourselves, and how we express ourselves. How we make choices whether responsibly or through reactivity. Where we might have felt a lack of personal authority because of fear of being judged. This can be about our personal values, needs, beliefs, and truths. Saturn in Pisces is ruling Venus. Healing our inner relationship through where we have internalized past messages, projections, and opinions from others is wanting to culminate. The culmination happens when we are introspective and bring new awareness to how this how structured our relationships with others and within ourselves. The awareness around these dynamics comes through reviewing and reflecting the patterns that are persisting in our lives. How we each make our own choices that repeat the same dynamics until wisdom is garnered through reflection and accountability.
Uranus in Taurus retrograde is ruled by Venus in Capricorn. The call is to liberate from the over-identification of past dynamics of self-preservation that are not serving our growth. What it took to survive in the past, probably isn’t what it takes now. Where out of self-preservation we might have suppressed our individuality. Where we depended on others to validate ourselves instead of understanding that we have always been enough. Especially when we are being ourselves. Regardless of if others judged us for our individuality. The lesson becomes about understanding that there are creative potentials and power in being different. Being different is needed. It teaches others about natural authority. Others uniqueness teaches us about their natural way of expressing their own authority too. So, this conversation with Venus during the full moon asks for self-determination and mastery over our own inner relationship to self. To take wisdom from past experiences and turn it into self-mastery. Self-mastery of our own boundaries; what we will and will not accept from others and for ourselves. Remembering that the boundary lies within the one who creates it. Not in the one who it was expressed to.
Mars in Capricorn is in a new phase conjunction with the Sun; the moon is also opposing Mars. This reflects the cardinal energy of initiation of a new cycle. This new cycle reflects freedom from past structures. Freedom from past experiences where we felt stifled or too afraid to make a change. This conversation speaks to the potential of new experiences that cultivate new structures within our awareness and consciousness. This conversation also teaches us about consequences of choices we make. To utilize wisdom from the past to make a correct judgment call around our choices. That way whatever the consequences are, negative or positive, we know we can stand in our choice. We can take accountability for the outcome. That we master the natural law of responsibility and accountability. To be impeccable in our actions. To not live in hypocrisy. That our inner dynamics reflect our outer dynamics and how we show up in the world. This also reflects new desires that are in alignment with the evolving structure of our consciousness. That as we act and make a choice (Mars) through correct judgment (Capricorn) that there is a healing quality. It validates our ability to be our own authority. It validates and heals the parts of ourselves where we used to suppress. It asks for courage in the face of initiation. With Saturn in Pisces ruling Mars, it whispers to us that we CAN TRUST OURSELVES. If the outcome isn’t what we thought it would be, well, we gained another kernel of wisdom!
All of this Capricorn energy is trine the lunar south node in Virgo. The lunar south node is ruled by Mercury in Capricorn. This highlights emotional dynamics from the past that haven’t been fully dealt with and our surfacing now for each of us to master self-accountability. The trines from Capricorn to the lunar south node are also teaching us about not judging ourselves harshly if we mess up along this journey. Awareness is the first step. That awareness comes from Capricorn self-reflection. Then just like Capricorn, it’s a steady climb. We might stumble a few times, yet Virgo is teaching us that the value is in the effort. Not in the outcome. That each day we can get up, dust ourselves off, and try again. What do you do when you see yourself getting caught up in the old emotional pattern? Do you recoil? Do you harp and harshly judge yourself or others? Or do you pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and utilize that experience as another stone on the mountain to utilize leverage to climb further? These trines teach us how we are meant to share who we are and how our own natural authority has a place and purpose within the world. No matter how small we might feel in comparison to the rest of the world. This teaches us about natural humility. Each one of us has a role to play and a service to provide to the ‘whole’. This can be just showing up and being determined to keep going. No matter what. Wisdom merged with action and reflection eventually sparks higher purpose meant to be shared in our own way. As a way to contribute. This helps us to purge the repetitive patterns of the past. Once and for all. Don’t be surprised over the next two weeks if an old emotional dynamic surfaces. All this Capricorn reflects a Soul test. That test in one of self-determination. To be self-determined to not be who you were in the past. Take on the challenge, then validate yourself that you passed the test! You chose different! You knew better this time around! You trusted yourself to make your own choices that are in alignment with who you know you to be!
The moon is trine the lunar north node in Pisces. The lunar north node is ruled by Neptune in Pisces at 29°. This clarifies what new choices we are each meant to make in order to culminate this outdated chapter on our evolutionary journey. It helps us to dissolve the old structures of our emotional reality in order to birth a new emotional identity. An identity that has a foundation based and set on our authenticity and truth. This is where we get an opportunity to align our Will with Source’s Will. To evolve. It clarifies where we need to release control, dependencies, and external values. What choices we make that nurture each of us. How that brings true security from within.
Essentially, the trines from the lunar south node to the Capricorn energy and the sextiles from the lunar north node to the Capricorn energy. In tandem with the Moon trine the lunar north node and sextile the lunar south node brings an immense amount of clarity and potentiality regarding how we each can individually heal emotional dynamics from the past through self-determination and bringing wisdom from those past experiences to make new changes. Releasing the past patterns in order to discover a new you. The “new you” that is reflecting your actual evolutionary growth at this time. It takes commitment. It takes devotion. It takes time (Saturn/Capricorn). The time is NOW.
This full moon breathes life into new structures through clarity of the past. What needs to be released. The potential for new structures, awareness, and desires birthing into our consciousness. Above all, this full moon reflects that our emotional body is our biggest teacher when it comes to evolutionary growth. How when we have the courage to self-reflect and objectify our inner dynamics, true healing occurs. It comes through our ability to mature and to shape-shift into who we KNOW we are, not who we were conditioned to become.
TIPS FOR WORKING WITH THE CANCER FULL MOON:
This full moon would be a great time for writing. For self-assessment and self-reflection. Writing down what you have learned about yourself, your emotional patterns, and what you want to release. Writing down your fears and reflecting on if there is a judgment or experience of shame attached to that fear. Your own goals of self-mastery and dedication. How you want to share that with others. Where you feel a lack of authority and where you do feel your own natural authority. Writing down emotional patterns that you are aware about that you want to stop. Where you can take accountability for your choices. Reflecting on why you chose what you did in the past. How did it help you evolve? What wisdom did you gain from those experiences? What new choices you want to make and why. Where it is that you need to nurture yourself. Where you feel you might be off centered emotionally and how you want to balance that. What is your intuition telling you? Where do you see a dynamic from the past cropping up. How you can validate that it isn’t the same as the past and that you have wisdom from that past experience that you can utilize to navigate this situation with better clarity, judgment, and discernment. Where do you need to forgive yourself? Where do you need to have more compassion for yourself? What personal, spiritual, and work-related goals do you have? What new structures do you feel called to practice putting into place? How do you want to go about implementing them? Are there any unexpressed emotions that you need to validate and acknowledge within yourself? Where are you wanting to find higher purpose and meaning in your life? What are your goals around that?
