Mercury Enters Capricorn, Venus Square Pluto & Venus Enters Scorpio

Hello Everyone,

This week we have a sky that reflects choices to be made and the reliance of your inner wisdom and intuition. We have some powerful conversations happening over the next seven days. Let me jump into your forecast!

On the 1st of December Mercury will enter the sign of Capricorn where it will be the rest of December. Through this Mercury transit we will experience the third and final Mercury retrograde period for the year of 2023. Mercury retrogrades have an emphasis on the right/intuitive mind as opposed to Mercury’s typical left/logical/linear thinking. Mercury retrograde is also about only taking in information that the soul wants it to at that time. Mercury won’t retrograde until the 13th of December.

Mercury is about how we intellectually organize information that we are taking in. Whereas Jupiter is about how we intuit information that we receive from our long-term memory and from the projected Source/ Manifest Creation. Whatever we intuit from within is then organized into terms that are intellectual in nature. Essentially, it is how we verbalize or express the information. Mercury is specific to each individual and how they intellectualize, organize, and define information. It is all about what is opinion versus fact. Two people can experience the same thing, but depending on how they intellectualize and organize information, the two could understand the same experience very differently. Mercury also shows us what we want to learn about and what we gravitate towards.

During this Mercury transit through Capricorn, Mercury will be ruled by Saturn who is now forward moving and in the sign of Pisces. Mercury through Capricorn can give us some information about what it is we are wanting to understand at this time. Wherever your natal Mercury is will be influenced by transiting Mercury. It is important if you want to know how this will affect you to look at where your natal Mercury falls by house and sign, and where transiting Mercury falls into your own natal chart by house. Then to look at the aspects it is making. This can give you a clear idea as to what you are wanting to understand on a soul level right now to further your own evolutionary growth.

With Mercury in Capricorn, we can be seeking information in a general sense about our personal responsibilities, how to be self-determined and what that will take, what our conditioning has been from family, society, religion, and culture. It can also bring in information about our priorities and what we should commit to, how to discern in order to make a correct judgment, and how to ask and answer our own questions. Mercury in the sign of Capricorn is very reflective, meaning that it wants us to reflect inwardly on our emotional dynamics (polarity of Cancer) in order to be able to answer our own questions we ask with the wisdom we have garnered from prior experiences. Work related themes can come to the forefront and help us to understand what we want to commit to in regard to that area in our life. Themes around being integral within our daily lives can manifest. With Mercury in this sign, we can get clear about what our personal morals and ethics are in a variety of ways. This helps us to learn more about what we value and give meaning to. For some they can be learning how to take the information they have learned in the past and to put it into their own words, to make it their own.

With Mercury ruled by Saturn in Pisces, we can see that the information we are wanting to understand helps us to culminate prior ways of how we have structured reality (Saturn). Saturn in Pisces wants us to dissolve (Pisces) any barriers (Saturn) that are preventing us from owning our inner authority or anything that gets in the way of our individual growth right now. Generally, Saturn in Pisces wants us to dissolve any manmade conditioning and structures that are preventing us from knowing our natural selves. This means looking at how our early childhood development and conditioning has affected our sense of self, our morals and ethics, what we value and give meaning to, how we handle our emotional experiences, and what our ideals are. What have you given ultimate meaning to? What were you taught/conditioned to give ultimate meaning to? This can be anything from a philosophical and cosmological point to relationships and work. A lot of information during this Mercury transit can surface to get us all in touch with what needs to be released and what needs to be learned that can help us connect with reality in a new way that honors who we feel we genuinely are. For some they can get to the bottom of depression or feel depressed. Often times when we are depressed it is not a bad thing like society has taught us it is. Instead, it is a function of the soul wanting us to turn inwards in order to understand our emotions. This helps us to gain clarity on how to emotionally validate ourselves and to emotionally mature.

Mercury will be in a last quarter sextile to Saturn upon entry into the sign of Capricorn, it will perfect in this aspect on the 2nd, but be in this conversation for half of this week. The last quarter phase can create a ‘crisis in consciousness’. This creates the inner questioning of “what do I believe?”. When we have a sextile conditioned by the last quarter phase it can be about understanding what it is we are meant to do but it can go against what we have known and how we have defined things prior to this moment in time. For many there can be events triggered revolving around how we have defined and categorized life and the need to understand new ways of doing so. This can be specific information that helps us understand how we need to surrender or to allow ourselves to feel some emotional dynamic we haven’t allowed ourselves before. This can also help us to understand and have ‘aha’ moments of clarity around our thinking and how that has created certain situations for ourselves and the need to reflect on ‘why’ in order to make different choices now. This can also trigger instances where we can be scared to step outside of our own comfort zone in order to explore new ways of thinking and believing. With Saturn in Pisces coming through or conditioning Mercury in Capricorn we can have the experiences of what it is we are supposed to be making judgments about. Are your judgements and thinking based on your social conditioning, manmade constructs, or are they based on things that are timeless in nature and natural principles. This conversation really has a lot of us asking what we base our judgments off of and what needs to change in regard to that. Remembering that Capricorn and Saturn both want us to reflect and go inward to understand this dynamic. The hangup can be about integrating what we come to understand and how to challenge our inner status quo through being self-determined in fully integrating whatever it is that gets us in touch with our own inner reality. With Saturn being about how we structure our consciousness on an individual level, this astrological conversation can teach us about new ways of inwardly relating that are in alignment with our natural selves. To dissolve the old and then to fully integrate the new in order to live it out. More than anything this conversation in tandem with Mercury’s transit through Capricorn wants us to be self-determined to change old ways of thinking that are no longer serving us, but this information can be scary to act on because it can challenge past beliefs, ideals, and conditioning. To be integral, we have to walk our talk. What judgments are you making? Are you resisting emotional dynamics you need to understand within yourself? What do you believe? What were you taught to believe? What do you want to commit to?

During the next few days Jupiter in Taurus will still be in a gibbous phase inconjunct to the Sun during this time. The Sun is ruled by Jupiter rx in Taurus, and Jupiter is ruled by Venus in Libra. This conversation started a couple of days after the Gemini Full Moon. The gibbous phase is about learning humility and refinement. It can create the dynamic of making excuses to do what it is you are meant to do, but it also creates inner reflection in order to understand. When the understanding comes, we are meant to act on it, but to do it in humility. This means understanding that we will continue to learn along the way, or at the very least it opens the door to learn and improve once we take the action. It is about learning that things are not going to be perfect first off. That the value is in the effort as we act on what it is we are meant to do. This then will give us feedback to self-improve. So, what is it we are meant to be improving upon right now, in a general sense? With the Sun being about integration of purpose and furthermore, what we are supposed to be self-actualizing, we can see that there is something that we are meant to learn about in order to self-actualize. With Jupiter in the sign of Taurus retrograde and the ruler of this Sun, this can revolve around what we believe in, give meaning to, and value. What values are we meant to improve upon? Taurus is about our inner relationship to self and Jupiter is our intuition, so we can be learning about what it is we are meant to do in order to improve our inner relationship to self. Our intuition can spark inner understanding and help us to know our natural truths. This takes us into needing to understand how and what we believe about ourselves and how that affects our relationship to self. How it affects our ability to be self-reliant and to have healthy self-esteem. How this affects how we project ourselves out into the world. Jupiter is about authenticity, self-honesty, and gratitude. It can also be about expanding on knowledge and learning the relativity of it and truth. It can also be about how we overcompensate based on how we feel about ourselves, especially if we lack healthy self-esteem. What is true for you? What feels true for you? How do you feel about yourself and how does that affect how you project yourself outwards? What do you need in order to be self-reliant? What inner resources do you have that you can use?

With Jupiter not only retrograde but also ruled by Venus in Libra during this particular conversation between the Sun and Jupiter, we can have external events triggered that bring up how we feel and value ourselves based on our beliefs, affects our relationships with others. There can be information gathered from externalized events that help us to understand ourselves on a deeper level, and what we need to self-improve upon in order to bring more balance and harmony to life. With Jupiter retrograde this can be some external event that has happened before or that has the same core themes as something prior. This event, if triggered can help us to resolve some inner dynamic that is affecting our outward relationships. Remembering that Mercury in Capricorn and ruled by Saturn in Pisces is in its own conversation. This can bring in these energies of needing to be integral and to make a correct judgement. To look at how our beliefs affect how we judge. This can be a moment that is occurring for us to be self-determined. To say, “I am no longer that person and this is who I am”.

On the 3rd, Mars in Sagittarius will inconjunct its ruler, Jupiter in Taurus retrograde. This is also full phase inconjunct. The full phase inconjunct is about inner and outer confrontations that help us learn about our own limitations and parameters. With Mars being about our desires and actions, and Jupiter being about our beliefs and intuition, we can have confrontations that have to deal with what action we are meant to take as opposed to what not to take. Action around what we are intuiting about our own personal values and the need to look at our values, beliefs, and what gives us meaning in order to understand our own limitations. These limitations can be around our relationship to self. What inner resources we are meant to take action on and if old beliefs are preventing us from doing that and the need to understand what is true. This can also trigger external events that confront external limitations on what we are meant to act on and not act on regarding what we desire. Are your personal beliefs preventing your from acting on what you desire? Does how you feel about yourself limit your ability to act on your desires? This knowledge can help us to understand and get clear on what next action we need to take in order to understand ourselves on deeper levels. Whether we need to go within or to go outward. With Jupiter being ruled by Venus in Libra at this time and square Pluto in Capricorn. With Venus being at 28° and entering Scorpio on the next day, something is wanting to wrap up, and with Pluto square to Venus this can be a Soul test. The test is about being self-determined to make different choices and actions than before. This can also be an old event recycled in order to test your self-determination to not make the same choices even if you have been on the right track. The event can spark old feelings and emotions that want further review in order to expand upon the knowledge and wisdom. These events can be revolving around old relational dynamics seeing as Venus is in Libra. This can be a test to not abandon oneself. To act on desires that are only in alignment with your natural self, and not an old version of you.

The last quarter square to Venus from Pluto helps us to dissolve and culminate old dynamics with Pluto’s ruler, Saturn in Pisces. The last quarter square can be about wanting to do the ‘old and familiar’ way of doing things, but the need to take action in a different way. This has to do with our inner authority and how we integrate that within our relationships to others. Whatever you’ve been learning and integrating about yourself on a personal level is wanting to be integrating within the social sphere and within your relationships with others, fully. Whatever fears come up, Mars and Jupiter help us to get in touch with more information about ourselves in order to make a correct judgment call that is in alignment with our values and integrity. This can also present us with a choice to make about remaining in our sovereignty versus abandoning our values for the sake of maintaining relationships that aren’t equal. This helps us to create balance and harmony within ourselves through correct judgements. The key is to reflect on prior experiences as external confrontations come up in order to discern what direction to go this time around. Remembering that Saturn in Pisces ruled Pluto right now, we are wanting to dissolve where we might have given ultimate meaning to others stemming from our ideals. Then the need to act on new ways of inwardly relating.

On the 4th, Venus enters into the sign of Scorpio and will be ruled by Pluto. She will be in an out of sign last quarter square to Pluto. Venus will be in the sign of Scorpio until December 29th. Throughout this transit in Scorpio, we can be examining what constitutes our fears, motivations and inner security. This transit can have us asking ‘why’. The ‘why’ helps us to understand ourselves on an emotional and psychological level. With the South Node in Libra and ruled by Venus in Scorpio, we can be having confrontations on an internal and external level that have to deal with our fears and motivations revolving around our external relationships with others. The South Node is about reexperiencing old dynamics that are wanting to change. Any type of imbalances within our relationships that revolve around equity and remaining in our individuality can be confronted and exposed right now. This also helps us to get in touch with what constitutes secure relationships and how we have gone about gaining security. Our motivations will speak to this. We can also be reexperiencing relational dynamics that get us in touch with other’s motivations, this would be an external confrontation, whereas the other is an internal confrontation.

With Uranus in Taurus retrograde and ruled by this Venus, we can be utilizing this information as a way to transform our relationship to self and to commit to that. The awareness that is gained from asking ‘why’ and being willing to confront our limitations can help us to liberate from old dynamics. This can also help us to liberate from where we have over identified with prior experiences that could have created trauma. These could be old traumatic relational dynamics that are being exposed or recalled in order to get to the bottom of how they have affected our self-worth, values, meaning, and relationship to self. This will be of a psychological and emotional nature. We need to remember that when trauma is created it puts us into fight or flight, freeze, or fawn states. These states also show us how we react to our triggers revolving around old traumas. This transit can get us in touch with this dynamic. It can also get us in touch with our survival mechanism that can be triggered during old trauma triggers surfacing. When we are in survival mode, we tend to do things we wouldn’t normally do, we can also be so out of touch with what we do for survival that it becomes a foundation for our motivations behind our actions. For some this can be looking at their own manipulations to getting their needs met due to survival mode. Then, with Venus being ruled by Pluto in Capricorn, the need to remain in integrity and to discern the right course of action this go around. A lot of reflection around prior experiences can help us gain objectivity to our emotional and psychological dynamics right now that are wanting to be liberated from.

With Jupiter in Taurus retrograde now being ruled by Venus in Scorpio, we can be needing to commit to our inner relationship to self through getting to the bottom of our beliefs and natural truths. A natural truth can be about what we really value as opposed to how we have been conditioned to value something. A natural truth can be about understanding what is true for one is not for you. A natural truth can be about values that stem from natural and universal law as opposed to temporal and manmade. With Venus in Scorpio, we can be getting to the bottom of how old beliefs have affected us psychologically and emotionally, the limitations regarding all of this. Above all, Venus in Scorpio can have us alchemizing prior experiences and the knowledge we gain from this transit in order to do so. This is a time period where we can feel the rebirth process within our relationship to self and others as we have the willingness to get to the bottom of what we are confronted with.

On the 5th, Lilith in Scorpio will be in a full phase inconjunct to Chiron in Aries. Lilith ruled by Pluto in Capricorn and Chiron ruled by Mars in Sagittarius. Lilith wants us to return back to our Center and our Root, our natural selves. Lilith will guard and protect this within each of us, helping us to return to this place. Keen wisdom and insight happen with Lilith. With Lilith in Scorpio this has us committing to ourselves on very deep levels, to always be willing to pull back the proverbial curtain and layers in order to continue to evolve. Lilith is deeply psychological and emotional here. This transit helps us to understand what it means to be in relationships with others on equal terms and rooted in the fair exchange of resources. With Lilith in a full phase inconjunct to Chiron in Aries, we can be confronted with our limitations revolving around how old wounds have affected our natural leadership abilities. How we go about feeling secure as a leader. How we go after what it is we want and desire in life. With Mars in Sagittarius and ruling Chiron this is helping us to understand what we desire to expand upon about ourselves and how we commit to changing our awareness around old wounds. This means we have to expose areas of ourselves that we need to come into more awareness about. This can revolve around our values, beliefs, what we give meaning to and how we go about getting our needs met stemming from this knowledge. With this conversation we can come face to face with what we believe. Lilith in Scorpio can help us to recover our knowledge revolving around ritual and self-healing modalities. The need to discern who and what to trust and who and what to not trust. To rely on our intuition or if we need to reconnect with our intuition. The confrontations can also be around what is natural for us and what is not natural. The need to discern this and then make choices stemming from this knowledge.

On the 6th, Venus in Scorpio will be in a last quarter trine to Saturn in Pisces. Confrontations on an internal level can occur around what to believe and what not to believe, and if you should do something different. This can pertain to how you get your needs met and your motivations behind them. This can also help us to understand how we value committed partnerships and whether or not we give ultimate meaning to them and why. The knowledge we have from getting to the bottom of these dynamics is wanting to be acted upon and integrated, fear around the unknown way of doing things can create resistance that makes us want to do what we have always done. The key is to not do that. To fully integrate the information and to act it out in the here and now, the present moment. This is about discernment and to make choices from the truth and not the potential. If that is something you have done in the past, then a situation can occur in order to test your inner commitment and self-determination to evolve out of the past in order to culminate prior dynamics and transcend old limitations. This takes a conscious effort to do so, but to have faith that it will work out. This is also a signature for being willing to jump in headfirst and without clothes into the proverbial ocean, to get in touch with our deepest parts. Then to continue to commit to this process of growth.

More than anything this is a week that speaks to direction being guided by intuition and inner wisdom. To discern from that place of authenticity and to continue to do the deep work that is necessary. To commit to this journey of self-reliance, self-responsibility, self-growth, and self-healing.

Much love and gratitude,

Jordyn
